The design for my bathroom came from my early concept development, a song by Goodnight Sunrise. As I began designing this bathroom I wanted to create a bathroom that was a place of safety and relaxation. I wanted a calm and accessible bathroom where one could come to be at peace. My overall plan shows a very open bathroom including a shower that is not closed off from the rest of the room. It is separated by a wall. I didn't want a major separation from this shower or even a bathtub. I wanted to make it as easy as possible for a wheelchair user. I wanted a roll-in shower. Another important feature in the room is the in-wall shelving. I designed this in the room to allow for easy mobility around the room, without bumping into shelves. While drawing this room the main perspective was a real struggle for me. I had a hard time keeping measurements accurate while drawing in 3D. Although, I feel that through this project, it allowed my to progress and really understand my work. In my other works I really struggled with the elevations and drawings. With this project I started to completely understand everything and really started to take off with my work. I honestly feel like because of this project I have greatly improved in my drawing skills.
